Shahed “Sky” Izaddoost, MD

Dr. Shahed Izaddoost (Dr. Sky), our pediatrician, was raised in San Antonio, Texas as the youngest of four children. She grew up in Leon Valley, but moved to Houston to attend Rice University where she received a Bachelor of Arts in biochemistry. During that time, she was involved in several presentations across the country regarding her publication in the journal Genetics, which focused on finding a cure for muscular dystrophy.

After graduating, Dr. Sky attended the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston (UTMB) where she not only received her medical degree, but also met her husband, Brandon Bolfing, with whom she works at our Westover Hills location. Dr. Sky then completed a three year residency at the University of Texas in Houston Pediatric Residency Program, working at Memorial Hermann Children’s Hospital and M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.

Dr. Sky is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and has an extensive history of volunteer work, including working as a Caring Clown. She enjoys spending time with her family, various outdoor activities, scrapbooking, and playing with her daughter, Lily. Dr. Sky believes that her patients are truly family members and plans to continue healing patients in this community for many years to come.
