It’s very complex, but simply put we use a detailed, systematic approach to detect and correct the fascial component of the injury. The primary difference is that the Airrosti trained provider is not only able to diagnose the musculoskeletal injuries through orthopedic testing, but our doctors are able to take it an extra step further and diagnose the injury to the fascial system.
Under conventional methods, the patient is kept in the passive phases 1 & 2 for entirely too long. Pain free range of motion is the goal.
Active exercise is Contraindicated in all painful ranges and the Conventional approach always limits active exercise in the acute stage of injury and rehabilitation of any musculoskeletal injury. However, Airrosti’s treatment model is able to quickly and safely move that patient out of the acute phase and into the repair and remodeling phase.
It is a fact that complete remodeling of an injury can not take place until the range of motion has been restored. Airrosti is able to restore pain free range of motion almost immediately, and this early gain in motion greatly accelerates the healing process. This is the very reason an orthopedic surgeon will have a post surgery knee patient walking as soon as possible. This approach also follows Wolf’s Law as well as Davis’ Law.
Airrosti seeks 95% pain free range of motion, which is accepted as the industry standard that serves as the point when active care is initiated.
Conventional methods may take weeks, to several years to achieve this standard, and this less than optimal result is solely because the injury was not diagnosed, and treated correctly. The fascial component was never specifically addressed, and unlike muscle, fascia can not heal on its own due to the fact that it is avascular. Since the connective tissue has no blood supply, it is not involved in the humoral response or the cellular response.
